Emergency Notice
Status of KVH Infrastructure & Services (2) Status of KVH Infrastructure & Services After the Tohoku Earthquake (2) We are glad to confirm that our data center and network services are all working well. With regard to the planned power outages by Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), KVH data centers and network relay transmission facilities are equipped with UPS and back-up generators. We will continue to manage this situation proactively but, assuming there is no more major seismic activity, we do not see any imminent threat to our ability to provide continuity of service out of these locations. We remain focused on keeping all our services up and running while also ensuring the safety of our staff. We have therefore initiated our BCP process and, as a precaution, will be moving part of our operations to Osaka. Please note that this may result in some delays to our response to service desk inquiries. In addition our capabilities for the implementation of new services will also be impacted. Please contact your account representative if you have an urgent implementation and we will work to prioritize this. KVH Tokyo Data Center 1 currently remains open though the entry and escort procedures might be a little bit slower than usual. Our remote hands services remains available on a best efforts basis. Please note that all contact information including the KVH Service Desk will remain unchanged during this BCP process. Thank you very much for your understanding in these exceptional and difficult circumstances. We will continue to work on your behalf to ensure that we have no service interruptions.
